CM: Removal of Article 370 marks new devp era in J&K
Kathua: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma speaking at a public meeting in support of BJP candidate, Jeevan Lal, said that the removal of Article 370 has proven to be a milestone in the development of Jammu and Kashmir. “This decision has not only opened the doors of development in Kashmir but has also united the entire country. Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee resigned from the Union Council of Ministers in protest against the imposition of Article 370, believing that there should not be two flags and two laws in one nation. In line with his sentiment, Article 370 was revoked, leading to a new beginning for development here,” the CM said.
“There was a time when bullets were fired daily in Kashmir, and fear loomed large. Today, that atmosphere of fear has dissipated, allowing both locals and tourists to feel safe in the region. This change has also increased the income of Jammu and Kashmir,” he remarked. He criticised Congress govt for not prioritising the common people. “The National Conference & Congress misled the youth of Jammu & Kashmir, driving them into terrorism & separatism. Now, these same parties seek votes from the public,” he stated, urging citizens to support BJP for new employment opportunities for valley’s youth.
