BIRLA’S EFFORTS PAID OFF! Union min Giriraj sanctions ₹1,254 cr for MGNREGA workers of Raj

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Giriraj Singh has sanctioned Rs 1,254 crore for payment of wages to MGNREGA workers of Rajasthan during a meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

Recently, information about non-payment of wages to the workers of the state had come to the notice of Speaker.

Birla then discussed this with Singh and senior officials of the ministry during a review meeting to review the progress of the schemes of the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in Rajasthan. Singh writes to Birla informing him about approval of the amount.
