BARC TRP ratings: Bharat 24 leads the pack!

New Delhi: The National Hindi News Channel “Bharat-24”, which was launched only 9 months ago, has surprised everyone in the television industry by taking a quantum jump in the TRP ratings this week. In the ratings declared by BARC on Friday morning, the ratings and market share of “Bharat-24” has increased from 0.6 to 2%. According to market sources, if this channel continues to grow at the same pace, then it can even overtake the Good News Today of the India Today Group.

According to sources, this long jump of “Bharat-24” has directly affected News-24 channel, whose ratings/market share has come down from 5.7% to 3.2% which can directly affect the Ad revenue of the channel.

In the rating of the free platform market released by BARC, the rating or market share of ‘Bharat-24’ has reached 6%, extremely close to ABP news’s 6.6% share in the free platform market.

However, as far as the reach of Free Dish is concerned, “Bharat-24” with its 1.54 Cr reach has overtaken ABP news (1.45 Cr). It is noteworthy that after leaving behind ABP News in Free Dish Reach, “Bharat-24” has now come close to Times Now Navbharat (1.55 Cr) and India TV (1.57 Cr).

Significantly, in the Free platform market, ‘Bharat-24’ with its 6% rating has already overtaken News Nation channel with 5.1% rating or market share as well as News Nation’s Free Dish reach of 1.26Cr. After BARC ratings, there was festive joy in the channel’s office in Noida and the staff expressed their happiness by distributing ‘laddoos’ and ‘kachoris.’ Channel’s Chief Business Officer Manoj Jagyasi said that after the increase in the ratings of the channel, the channel is getting tremendous response in the ad market.

On this occasion the CEO of the channel Dr Jagdeesh Chandra said that on principle of ‘Khabar Hi Jeevan Hai,’ the channel has carved a niche for itself in the news market in just a span of 8 months.
