AAP leader Sanjay Singh accuses BJP of plotting attack on Delhi CM Kejriwal
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of plotting an attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
While addressing a press conference in the national capital, Singh said, "The BJP has been in a state of panic ever since Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail. The BJP is now plotting to launch a deadly attack on Arvind Kejriwal. This conspiracy is being conducted directly from the Prime Minister's Office. A threat of attack on Kejriwal ji has been written at Rajiv Chowk and Patel Nagar Metro stations."
He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP are so immersed in hatred that they are conspiring to kill the Delhi CM, adding that the PMO, BJP and PM Modi will be responsible if anything happens to Kejriwal.
"PM Narendra Modi and the BJP are so immersed in hatred and revenge that they are conspiring to kill Arvind Kejriwal ji. I want to tell the government, administration and Election Commission that if anything happens to Arvind Kejriwal, the PMO, BJP and Narendra Modi will be responsible for it," the AAP leader said.
He further claimed that Kejriwal was not given insulin for 23 days when he was lodged in Tihar jail.
"First, these people did not give insulin to Arvind Kejriwal ji in jail for 23 days and now all this is being done. If Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gets even a scratch, then the BJP and PM Modi will be directly responsible for it," Singh said.
The Supreme Court gave interim bail to the Aam Aadmi Party convenor till June 1 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the national capital. However, as per the terms of his bail, the Delhi Chief Minister cannot make any comment about his role in the Delhi liquor scam case.
Kejriwal spent over 50 days in Tihar Jail after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in an excise policy case on March 21, days after the election schedule for the general elections was announced.
The bail is applicable until June 1 and Kejriwal has to surrender to authorities on June 2.
