A JUNCTION WHERE THE SOUTH STARS EMBRACED THE NORTH
Hyderabad: Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva is on the cusp of its grand release and to say that there is tension in the air would be an understatement. The makers of the film are busy promoting their labour of love throughout India as Brahmastra is readying itself to release in five different languages. The Brahmastra team recently held their pre-release event in Hyderabad which was attended by a variety of personalities. Right from the core team which included actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy to producer Karan Johar and SS Rajamouli who is promoting the film in the South, Jr NTR who was the chief guest of the evening was present too. Surprisingly, in a gesture expressing his love for Brahmastra, SS Rajamouli hosted the event and addressed what the film brought to the world itself.
Revealing that due to some left-over work, Ayan could not attend the event, the Baahubali director praised not just him but the entire team including Ranbir, Alia, and Karan Johar. It was not only him but Jr NTR too who had some remarkable words for the team. “I always enjoyed Amitabh Bachchan Sir’s intensity in each of his films. I was a big fan of his. Everything about Amit ji was very intense for me,” he said. He continued, “One actor after Amit ji that I really connected to is Ranbir. Every film of his has inspired me as an actor. My most favourite is Rockstar.” The same sentiment was echoed by Rajamouli when he recalled how Taarak knew all the songs word-to-word from the Imtiaz Ali masterpiece.
Jr NTR also further went on to praise Alia calling her a gem of a person and a very talented actor, titles that many agree to. He revealed that after Rajamouli and Nagarjuna, Alia was the one he shared an emotional bond with owing to the time they spent shooting RRR. The event also saw a lot of love and praise shared among everyone with Karan Johar disclosing how Nagarjuna, whom he lovingly called Naag sir was the real Nandi Astra, emitting his energy into the film. The Shiva actor too had his love to give to everyone and he even went on to bless Ranbir and Alia from all the Telugu fraternity so they’d have a beautiful baby who would become bigger than them. As the event went further, Alia and Ranbir had a surprise packed for the Telugu audience where she sang ‘Kumkumala’, the Telugu version of ‘Kesariya’ and Ranbir had a whole speech ready in Telugu. The actor impressed SS Rajamouli so much that the filmmaker surprisingly came to hug Ranbir. With so much warmth and respect shared between the stars, it sure can be called a labour of love that everyone is rooting for.
