Sports Secy issues strict norms for associations

Jaipur: In a move to bring accountability to sports associations, Sports Secretary Neeraj K Pawan has issued strict directives to prevent arbitrary management by officials. All sports associations are now required to provide online information, including details of their district units. Each district must establish a district sports association, ensuring transparency regarding the officials in each association. Additionally, associations must report their recognition status with federations and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). From now on, applications for tournament information, election details, and grants must be submitted online.
