Kotputli: Rescue operations enter 6th day; mother pleads for rescue
Kotputli: Two NDRF personnel have descended 170 feet deep into a borewell to rescue 3-year-old Chetna, who is trapped inside. They are digging a tunnel 10 feet in depth from this point. For their safety, oxygen has been arranged.
The NDRF has prepared six more personnel for a new plan. They will dig in batches of two, going down to carry out the excavation. District Collector Kalpana Agarwal has claimed that this is the most difficult operation in Rajasthan. The rescue operation has been delayed due to the administration’s repeatedly changing plans, compounded by the rain. The family and villagers have accused the administration of negligence. Dholi Devi, Chetna’s mother, was seen making tearful appeals to the authorities on Saturday.
