Khimsar meets resident docs; protests on hold

Jaipur: The proposed complete work boycott scheduled for today by the resident doctors of SMS Hospital, Jaipur has been temporarily postponed, after having talks with the health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar on Thursday evening.

Khimsar said that discussions with the resident doctors were held on 8 issues and once again will hold a meeting on Friday on all their demands. After the talks held in a positive atmosphere, the resident doctors assured to postpone the complete work boycott scheduled on Friday.

It is to be mentioned that the resident doctors were boycotting the elective work for the last 10 days. After the announcement of resident doctors on complete boycott of work, the administration had started making alternative arrangements.

Meanwhile, Khimsar had also warned the residents not to go on strike often, as this would create problems for them.
