EV firm repays Rs 8.20 cr ITC after GST violation

Jaipur: A two-wheeler electric vehicle manufacturer in Mansarovar of Jaipur has returned ₹8.20 crore in Input Tax Credit (ITC) due to non-compliance with GST laws. Under the GST framework, businesses can claim ITC on purchases if payments to suppliers are made within 180 days. However, the company, led by directors Ketan Mehta, Nikhil Bhatia, and Rahil Gupta, failed to adhere to this deadline. The issue came to light during an investigation by the CGST Jaipur Commissionerate.
