93 SEATS UP FOR GRABS!
New Delhi: The stage is set for the third phase of voting in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, happening today. This phase encompasses 93 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 10 states and 2 union territories. Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir were initially part of this phase but faced connectivity issues, leading to their rescheduling for May 25th.
In Gujarat, 25 constituencies will vote in a single phase, alongside 2 constituencies in Goa. Furthermore, the remaining 14 constituencies in Karnataka, mainly in north Karnataka, are scheduled for polling on Tuesday, marking the conclusion of voting in the state. Additionally, voting will occur for 8 candidates in the adjourned poll for the 29-Betul (ST) Parliamentary Constituency in Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, 1 candidate from the Surat parliamentary constituency in Gujarat has been elected unopposed. Voter turnout in Phase 1 and 2 of the Lok Sabha elections was 66.14% and 66.71%, respectively, according to the ECI data.
