16-year-old minor murdered in North-East Delhi after spat
New Delhi: A minor boy was murdered on Thursday night in Jaffarabad street number 8 falling under the station area of North East Delhi.
The incident occurred at 9 p.m. on Thursday when the deceased, a 16-year-old, had come to buy clothes with his brother and his friend. The deceased's brother was also a minor.
As per investigation by the police, it has been found out that some miscreants had come to the market and followed him.
DCP North East Joy Tirkey spoke about the murder and said that after an initial investigation, it was found out that the miscreants who had followed the deceased knew him.
"The incident occurred at 9 p.m. yesterday when a 16-year-old boy had come to buy clothes with his elder brother, who is also a minor. The investigation revealed that three to four boys had come on two scooters and knew the deceased," he said.
Further, he said "The accused wanted to take the minor to some place with them but on refusal from the minor, a spat occurred between them. After the spat, one of the boys fired a bullet which hit the deceased on the shoulder." "He fell injured on the ground and after being brought to the hospital, he was declared dead," he added.
Tirkey further added that some of the names of the accused have come to light and further investigation on the case is on. "The names of some of the accused have come to light. Further investigation on the case is on."
Earlier, on Thursday, a 28-year-old man who was working in a tour and travel business was stabbed to death in Gamri Extension under the Bhajanpura Police Station area.
The incident occurred when the deceased, identified as Sumit, was sitting in a street and had a verbal spat with three to four boys. The boys attacked Sumit with a knife after the spat.
Sumit suffered from 17 injuries and was taken to the JPC Hospital immediately where he was declared dead.
