What! Mumbai Police took legal actions against Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma for riding bikes without helmet
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and starlet Anushka Sharma appear to be in more legal problems as the Mumbai Police have taken enforcement action against them for not using helmets while riding bikes in the city. Recently, two celebrities were seen riding bikes independently but without helmets. Big B took a fan's ride to work yesterday, but Anushka was spotted riding a bike beside her bodyguard after a roadblock. Both times, neither of them or their passengers complied with the traffic law by wearing helmets.
A few social media users protested about Amitabh and Anushka to Mumbai Police shortly after their photos appeared online, requesting that the police take action against the stars. The 80-year-old legend captioned a photo of himself riding a bike with an unidentified individual on social media, “Thank you for the ride buddy… don’t know you…but you obliged and got me on time to location of work…faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams… thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner.” Reacting to it, one Twitter user commented, “Missing helmets for both rider and pillion @MumbaiPolice please take note!”
Mumbai Police was quick to respond, they wrote back, “We have shared this with traffic branch.” Similarly, a video of Anushka sitting behind her bodyguard on a bike went viral and one of the netizens tagged Mumbai Police, writing, “@MumbaiPolice No helmet?” To this, the department wrote, “We have shared this with traffic branch.”
Amitabh, who was most recently seen in Uunchai, will next be featured in Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' Project K, which is directed by Nag Ashwin. In addition to this, the veteran actor is developing Ribhu Dasgupta's courtroom drama 'Section 84'.
The upcoming sports drama "Chada Xpress," which is based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami, will mark Anushka's comeback.
