Valentine’s Day: Love is the purest emotion a person can feel, says Sherleen Dutt
Unconditional, forgiving, and unwavering; this is what describes love for actress Sherleen Dutt. The actress, who is known for being part of series Honey Trap Squad, says that there is nothing that is purer than love.
“Love is the purest emotion that a person can feel. We have all heard the timeless tales of Radha Krishna, Ram Sita and Shiv Parvati; that is what love is. It’s all about forming that unwavering connection with someone that surpasses all obstacles. It’s a bond that is unconditional and relentless. That is love for me. It makes you who you are, and adds so much value to your life,” she says.
Talking about her plans for Valentine’s Day, she says, “This Valentine's Day, as I don't have a special person in my life, I've planned something truly meaningful. I'm dedicating the day to celebrating the purest love – the love of my parents. Instead of focusing on a romantic partner, I'll cherish the time spent with the two individuals who have always been my unwavering support and a source of unconditional love. Valentine's Day, for me, is a day to honour all forms of love, especially the enduring bond with family.”
Love, between a couple, has its own journey, says the actress, adding, “Well, I think that the love before marriage is one full of sparks and anticipation. Nothing compares to the feeling of falling in love with someone, waiting to meet your special someone, talking on long phone calls. Love before marriage is a hopeful phase where you are busy planning your life together. However, love after marriage has its own charm. The bond between a husband and wife is the most profound. It is not only romantic, but transforms into our most important relationship based on trust and understanding.”
Ask her what is her idea of celebrating love, and she says, “I am not someone who equates love with gifts or expensive dates and trips. For me, it’s all about spending time, talking and making memories.”
Talking about her learnings on love, she says, “My past relationships have taught me that everything happens for a reason. They have taught me that love can be accompanied by pain, but it is all worth it in the end. Love is about giving freely without anticipating the same in return.”
