Shagun Pandey of COLORS' 'Mera Balam Thanedaar' opens up about the father-and-son bond he shares with Rajendra Chawla

COLORS' 'Mera Balam Thanedaar' has captivated audiences with its compelling performances and gripping storyline. The show revolves around the lives of two contrasting individuals, Bulbul portrayed by the talented Shruti Choudhary, and Veer brought to life by Shagun Pandey. Bulbul and Veer, though different as chalk and cheese, are married and navigating the complexities of living together. Their nuanced performances have not only captivated viewers' attention but also earned them love and admiration. Apart from the praise being received for the chemistry of Bubul and Veer, the camaraderie between Shagun and Rajendra Singh and (Vardhan Singh) has not gone unnoticed by the audience, who have showered accolades on their father-and-son bond and the depth they bring to their respective characters.

Talking about Rajendra Chawla, Shagun Pandey says, “Fathers are powerful role models to sons, and I see that as much in real life as in my show Mera Balam Thanedaar. The bond between my father and me is incredibly strong, and I've found that same sense of connection with Rajendra sir, who portrays my father in the show. My relationship with Rajendra sir goes beyond just acting together; he is a mentor who has guided me through various aspects of acting. Rajendra sir has a treasure trove of experiences from his time as a young actor, and he often shares those anecdotes with me, reminding me of my own father. It's incredible how we share similar mannerisms and approaches to our craft, which adds authenticity to our on-screen chemistry. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work alongside such a seasoned actor.”

The current storyline of the show captures Sulakshana's pivotal decision to partake in the rudra abhishek ceremony alongside Vardhaan. Meanwhile, Veer and Bulbul race against time to rescue Drishti from a blazing inferno engulfing her house.

Keep watching 'Mera Balam Thanedaar’ at 9:30 pm every Monday to Friday only on COLORS.
