Sara Khan: Since the Covid outbreak, people recognised what mental illness is
Actress Sara Khan says that the pandemic has made us more aware about mental issues. People have started taking care of their mental health more. “Since the Covid outbreak, people have recognised what mental illness is. As due to the hectic life schedules, no one bothered to pay attention to their mental well being. I believe that with the realisation of mental health issues globally, people have started valuing more in fact. Hence, it’s good that everyone is spreading awareness,” she says.
She adds, “I believe that teens have more complications. The pressure of always looking good and doing good is traumatising, but with the awareness of how to be they will be able to cope up with it. As you show your vulnerable side, every other person takes it according to their understanding. You can’t have any say on it, as people are going to say what they want to say. In today’s world, anything could go wrong and any wrong could be taken positively, every logic comes with a different point of view.”
Ask her how she takes care of her mental health, and she says, “I just don’t care about anyone apart from my mom, dad and my close friends. I'm not here to please anyone. I want to live for myself and my family and keep ourselves happy.”
