OMG! When filming "The Kerala Story," Adah Sharma went 40 hours without drinking water; Actress Filmed in Extreme Conditions in -16°
Adah Sharma's impactful performance in "The Kerala Story" solidified her reputation as a skilled performer in the field. The actor did an excellent job in her performance and went above and above to really inhabit her persona. Adah recently shared on social media that she shot in -16 degrees in harsh temperatures in order to portray Shalini, and that she went 40 hours without drinking any water.
Sharma shared a few images from the session on Thursday, showing off her parched lips and facial wounds. Alongside the unseen pictures, she wrote, “Sunkissed ,After and Before from #TheKeralaStory Secret to chapped cracked lips like these … dehydrate for 40 hours in minus 16 degrees #sunkissedmakeup #adahsharma @makeupbyshyam P.S. the mattress was kept to practice the fall… but we didn’t use it #bruisedknees and chila hua elbows but ufff all so worth it the last pic is a handful of coconut oil in the hair, safety pins, and tight plaits.”
Adah stated in an interview that she enjoys challenges that stretch her as an actress both physically and psychologically. “I wanted to look as convincing as I could. I'm a big foodie and I usually drink five litres of water a day so it was difficult. But if you put your mind to it anything is possible,” the actress said while talking about her role.
'The Kerala Story' was produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, and it was directed by Sudipto Sen. Adah Sharma played the title character, with Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. The film told the tale of a group of Keralan women who were forced to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and convert to Islam. Despite controversy, it was released on May 5, 2023, and made more over Rs 200 cores at the box office.
