Money Laundering Case: Court grants actress Jacquline Fernandez permission to travel overseas for IIFA awards

Jacqueline Fernandez has been granted permission to travel abroad for a film shoot and the forthcoming IIFA Awards, according to the most recent media sources. A Delhi court gave the actress permission to leave the country from May 25 to June 12 on Tuesday. According to reports, Special Judge Shailendra Malik granted Jacqueline's request to attend the IIFA, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from May 25 to May 27.

The actress was given permission by the judge to travel to Milan, Italy, from May 28 to June 12 in order to film her movie. For those who are unaware, the actress from Kick has been in the news for the wrong reasons ever since her name came up in a case involving money laundering and con artist Sukesh Chandrasekar. Jacqueline has been charged with accepting lavish presents from the con artist, including Chanel and Gucci luxury handbags, excursions on private jets, and helicopters.

Speaking about the same, Fernandez told ED, “He sent me a private jet to take me from Mumbai to Chennai. He did not meet me at the airport but had sent an assistant. I reached the Hyatt hotel and Shekhar arrived an hour after that. We had lunch together in the dining room and chatted in the living room area of the suite. The next day, he came back to the hotel and ordered some breakfast. After breakfast, he dropped me at the airport. And I returned back to Mumbai in a private jet.”

She was granted bail the previous year. Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is presently incarcerated, has been charged with defrauding and extorting money from Aditi Singh, the spouse of Shivinder Mohan Singh, a former promoter of Religare Enterprises.
