Ameesh Patel will feature in the next movie Tauba Tera Jalwa, which is directed by Akashaditya Lama, who has since expressed his admiration for the actress, after the film's enormous popularity.
It has always been Akashaditya Lama's dream to work with Ameesha Patel on a movie.
For Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and its follow-up Gadar 2, Akashaditya Lama assisted Anil Sharma as director.
Thus, he has a lengthy history with Ameesha Patel. The director claimed in a recent statement that he had known the actress even before her debut picture came out and that he had always wanted to collaborate with her.

"She (Ameesha) had already started shooting for Gadar: Ek Prem Katha where I was working as an assistant director," Lama said in a statement. She has consistently shown me kindness and support. In fact, I stated in an interview 22 years ago with a local newspaper that I intended to cast Ameesha Patel in my own film someday."
The director stated, "I wanted to present her in a completely different avatar and she has delivered it in a commendable way," in reference to Ameesha's role in the next movie. On January 5, the Ameesha Patel film Tauba Tera Jalwa will be released on large screens.
