Grammy winner Darlene Koldenhoven creates landmark spiritual album "Om Sweet Om" with Anup Jalota, Ashish Rego and Pandit Somesh Mathur, launched by Shankar Mahadevan
Many projects with international collaborations have emerged in the film and music industry recently. Now one such historic collaboration has taken place between the most prestigious award Grammy winner singer Darlene Koldenhoven and Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota, Ashish Rego and Pandit Somesh Mathur. All these unique artists have together created a spiritual music album named "Om Sweet Om" and today this unique spiritual album was launched by legendary singer Shankar Mahadevan at Anup Jalota's house in Mumbai.
Tracks like "Gayatri Mantra" and "Mahamrityunjaya Mantra" show powerful performances, which take the sacred atmosphere of the album to new heights. The album has contributions from many international musicians, including Ivan Mendez on Native American flute, Miguel Vargas on Chinese Dizi and Western flute and Luca Giacobbe on percussion. The album was recorded and mixed by Smitesh Joshi and Sanjay Sharma at Shazam Studios. Darlene Koldenhoven, renowned globally for her contributions to album art, brings her exceptional talent to the project, lending her voice to a genre that connects deeply with the soul. She is accompanied by 'Bhajan Samrat' Anup Jalota, whose iconic voice has been a mainstay in spiritual music for decades, as well as Pandit Somesh Mathur and Ashish Rego. The album is composed and crafted by Ashish Rego.
Each song on the album is designed to guide listeners through the journey of spiritual awakening, with themes of peace, prosperity, healing and divine connection. The Paranjoti Academy Chorus adds spiritual depth to the album, conducted by Firdaus Wadia. Tracks like "Gayatri Mantra" and "Mahamrityunjaya Mantra" feature powerful performances, taking the album's sacred ambience to new heights.
