Amitabh Bachchan on Three-Hour Prosthetic Transformation for Kalki 2898 AD: "It was worth it"
The highly anticipated film of the year, Kalki 2898 AD, is just a few days away from its release. As the countdown begins, fans eagerly await the grand cinematic spectacle. Before the film hits theaters, promotions are in full swing, adding to the excitement. The makers have now released an interview series with the entire star cast titled "The Kalki Chronicles."
The interview has created a stir on the internet as the stellar cast shares their interesting experiences. One of the major highlights of the interview is when Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan opened up about the rigorous process involved in applying and removing prosthetics for his role as Ashwatthama.
He shared that it took three hours to put it on and about 1.5 to 2 hours to take it off and that he couldn’t move for the three hours and had to sit still and co-operate with the makeup artist. Reflecting on the experience, Bachchan expressed, "The day I put on my makeup for the first day and went on to the set, I knew that this was worth it," he said, highlighting his commitment and faith in the craft.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. The film is slated for release on June 27th.
